CONSULTANCY

Passionate about creating opportunities for young people to engage with clay in schools, Duncan was a member of the Crafts Council’s steering group for Firing Up – a 3-year programme to kick-start ceramics

in the curriculum working with 11 universities and 55 schools across the UK. Commissioned to produce the creative plan and handbook for schools to follow, he

headed up the practical hands-on CPD programme for teachers and makers.

"Clayground Collectiveʼs outstanding knowledge, enterprising and cross-sector approach has inspired many young people, teachers, even surgical educators, to engage or re-engage with this amazing

natural material. They have extensive experience and success in engaging people, some marginalized from

mainstream education."
